Pan American Inn & Suites
Ranked #83 of 144 Hotels in Albuquerque
Reviewed October 12, 2010

This hotel is right off the highway, clean, quiet, and fantastic value for what you get. $65 gets you crisp sheets, clean room, your choice of firm or soft pillows, big showerhead with super pressure, and the largest buffett breakfast I've ever laid eyes on. All included in that $65! Even better, they allow a pet for an extra $10. Sure, the furnishings are a little dated, but the whole place is clean and neat, and the front desk staff is friendly and accomodating. It's a teeny, no-name hotel that's trying to compete with a large chain. For about half the price, they do very, very well. If you are a budget traveler, this is the place for you.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Clarion Hotel in Albuquerque to visit the Balloon Fiesta. We were a group of 16 arriving in 8 Corvettes. The staff at the Clarion could not have been more welcoming and accommodating to our group. We were provided preferred parking spaces, and the beautiful lobby was perfect to relax and enjoy with our group. The location of the hotel is excellent for touring the city. The inclusive deluxe buffet was much better than expected with a large variety of both hot and cold selections. The air-conditioned rooms are clean and adequate. Thank you Eric, Rum, and staff for making our stay a special one.

The personnel at The Clarion couldn't have been nicer. The morning breakfast was superior -- a full, hot breakfast and roomy seating and extreme cleanliness. No matter what staff member we talked to, they were all so courteous and polite and most helpful. The bed and pillows were so comfy, the rooms were well appointed and clean. The view from the front of the hotel was excellent. We went to see the Balloon Festival and we could see all of the hot air balloons from the hotel. What an experience that was!

The director of the hotel, Rum Walia, was exceptional. He helped us find a church for Sunday services and gave us many good ideas on points of interest, restaurants, etc.
He couldn't do enough for us. The hotel offers a nice pool (very clean), a work-out facility, and beautiful foyer.

All in all, this Choice property was beyond compare. I guess that's why we like to stay at the Choice properties. I highly recommend this hotel if in the Albuquerque area!

There are a plethora of hotels in this area, but we stayed at this one because of it's high TripAdvisor rating. We are glad we did. It was right off the highway and close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel and our room looked like it had been updated. It was quiet at the hotel and inside our room. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was one of the largest we'd seen with many hot foods, a waffle maker, cereal and fresh fruits.

The only downside that we were disappointed with was the intermittent internet service. Most of the time, it would not work. When we called the front desk, we were told to call their internet provider. What??? Since we were driving from Florida to California, we used the internet each night in the hotels to plan our driving route and possible interesting stops.

Thank you for your review of the Clarion Hotel Albuquerque. We are pleased to hear that you had pleasant stay with us and enjoyed the overall accomodations that we provide here.

I wanted to apologize to you regarding the difficulties that you experienced with our internet service. The intermittance could have been caused by the huge electrical storm that passed through Albuquerque during your stay- wireless systems can be affected by these storms. Regardless, we are looking into the issue with our service provider just to make sure. The reason the Front Desk advised you to call our internet provider (actually its a 24 hour help desk) is because, as most hotels do, we have retained the services of a company with qualified technicians to assist our guests with any internet related service issues. These technicians are far more qualified than Front Desk Agents to deal with computer issues. We hope this clears any mix up in communication.

Again thank you for staying at the Clarion Hotel and we hope to see you at our property in the future.

This hotel was vast...upon checkin in the rain, we found the second story entrance from the outside was not functional. We descended the stairs, walked around another corner of the giant facility and found another door that was able to be opened with the keycard. Inside we found our way back, and I hiked down a quarter mile hallway to the farthest room. There were loud neighbors all night long. The hotel slept well though, the bathroom was clean and fixtures new, and the breakfast dining area and breakfast itself were both exemplary.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at our hotel. In an effort to be proactive, we routinely perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. This would include the proper function of our locks. It is unfortunate that the door was not working properly, and for that we apologize. We will strive to prevent this from happening again. On another note, we are delighted you noticed our attention to detail and cleanliness. Please try us again the next time you are visiting Albuquerque.

Me and my family stayed at the Clarion Hotel for four days. Being greeted at the front door made me feel welcome. The service was wonderful. The rooms were very nice and clean. No problem with people staying in the hotel. The breakfast they had layed out was wonderful.
We would return to stay at the Clarion Hotel.
