Cheap hotel (good for last minute needs) and suites are affordable for all. However, while staying in one of the suites, we found stains over the furniture, lose springs in some of the mattresses, small furniture cramped into the closets, red stains in the shower and sink, and hair on the towels. Some doors for the rooms across the hotel are broken and DUCT TAPED TOGETHER, some of the cables for the machines in the gym were cut, and very average guest services. Also, (possibly unrelated) the only times I have gotten the flu were the two times I stayed at this hotel. The hallways smell like smoke and there was trash on the floors.

Room tip: Ask to check the rooms before booking them.

While the Pan American is good in some ways, it lacks in others, but is likely to get better under new management. First the good stuff. The lobby is pleasant and the front desk is staffed by helpful and attentive people. The breakfast is pretty good including eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles and cereal. However, the lack of salsa was surprising in Albuquerque... only Tabasco. The room was exactly what you would expect for a Quality Inn, comfy bed, large enough, etc. The place was reasonably clean but certain details were showing both wear and lack of cleaning. Still, for the price, a decent enough place to stay.

Stayed there as I got into town and needed a room overnight. Found the room and staff to be excellent, very attentive and friendly as it should be. Was upgraded to a suite which I appreciated and they serve a hot breakfast in the morning. Recommend staying at this property and spend the extra money compared with the low-priced hotels in the area like Super 8 which has problems.

This hotel doesn't look like much at all on the outside. In fact, there are lots of holes in the walls, broken locks, and just a lot of things in the common areas that need some serious attention. That being said, our room was great. Very spacious and clean. The breakfast also had a very nice variety and as we were there during Balloon Fiesta, they served it starting at 4am which was a nice surprise. Good location. Despite being right next to the freeway our room was very quiet. I think if they really put some money and energy into this it could be a very nice place to stay.

Room tip: Suite rooms are very roomy.

This used to be a very nice place to stay, I remember it from 10 years ago. Now it is a bit run down. I had to switch rooms after checking in. The second room was a average hotel/motel room. No water or snacks to buy in the lobby, limited soda machines. The price was excellent (a hotels.com bargain), but even the sign out front is trashy.
