“Taco shell and meat were good but the complete taco dressing poor”
Reviewed December 2, 2008

I went to the broken taco and ordered the full broken taco platter, however I was very disappointed with the food. The taco shell was really good and the meat was tasty however, the salad (lettuce) which was situated under the taco shell (that contained only the meat) was sparsely populated with a few tomatotes, there were no onions or sauce in the very dry meal. I considered the meal overpriced for $9 considering I could have received a more palpable meal down the road at taco cabana. Although the taco shell was the best that I have every tasted the meal would have been more acceptable had the taco's contained the ingredients that normal tacos have.

“OK, but nothing special”
Reviewed August 26, 2008

To be fair...Before writing this review (and others), we've eaten three times at Juan's Broken Taco, twice for weekday lunches, and once on Saturday evening. We found the "ambiance" to be lacking, even for a little restaurant in a strip mall. I don't know what business was in there before, but do something with the old, painted cement floor!

The food was good, but nothing special in either taste, portions, or presentation. There is actually a "Juan's Broken Taco" on the menu, but we did not try it, prefering our tacos unbroken. :-) Their tacos were very good however, with almost perfectly seasoned meat...to our tastes.

The "waiter" at both lunches wore a t-shirt, blue-jeans, and sneakers, not exactly "professional" to say the least. The evening dining experience was better, with an experienced, and courteous waitress. Although not by any means crowded on all three visits, the food delivery time seems rather slow also.

If you are in the area of Wyoming and Candelaria, not a bad place for your lunch, just not a great one.
