Description: Zinc is a lively three level bistro in Historic Nob Hill. Featuring an open, urban ambiance, Zinc offers casual fine dining on the main level and the loft mezzanine. For those looking for an exciting show, the exhibition bar offers seats right along the open kitchen. The menu focuses on high quality - yet affordable - American bistro fare and utilizes seasonal ingredients, many of which are sourced from local farmers. The Cellar Bar offers the same extensive wine list and premium cocktails as the upstairs, but in a more intimate lounge atmosphere with a lighter menu. The Cellar also showcases live music on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, and a DJ every Friday. Visit www.zincabq.com for menus, pictures, and upcoming events!

“Brunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2014

I won a raffle ticket for a brunch for two. Will for sure re-visit this restaurant. There were lots of things on the brunch menu, but my friend and I decided to split 3 items. Baklava crepes. Wonderful. Salad with strawberries, great! French Toast. WOW! Huge serving, really, really good! I will for sure go back for a dinner!

“Better food in Albuquerque”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2014

Attractive, upscale, trendy restaurant in Nob Hill section of Albuquerque. Open kitchen and nice balcony area. Food is a few notches up from regular fare around town. Portions are a little on the large size which is typical for New Mexico.....go with friends and share. Reservations are recommended. Have a drink in cellar bar for a more relaxed atmosphere.

“Good spot for something special”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

We ate dinner here on our final night in Albuquerque. We had lots of great New Mexico cuisine and wanted to try something a little more upscale. Zinc delivered! They had a large selection of wines and other alcoholic drinks including some wine flights. They also had taster menus and lighter portion dinners which pleased me and my partner. The taster menus allow diners to select three dishes from multiple choices. This gives each diner a chance to select just what she or he would like.
As mentioned several of the dinners offer lighter portions. I had the beef ravioli and they were outstanding. Even at the lighter portion there were five raviolis and mashed turnips and a deep-flavored wine sauce. I had a special vegetable salad before the ravioli; it was a la carte.
Our waiter, Chelsea, was attentive and checked-in a few times to make sure all was well.
The restaurant was attractive and modern; we sat near the food prep area. It was a busy place and the noise level was certainly elevated. I am not sure I would call it a romantic place but the food was of high enough quality to elevate the experience above the ordinary.

“Other than the service....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

The dining area is very inviting and attractive. The menu has many interesting choices. The first course egg rolls were good and the entrees were excellent. The weak link was our primary server. After my wife ordered a margarita and I ordered a glass of wine, we waited approximately 15 minutes before the drinks showed up. Our appetizer was delivered to our table in about half that time. He was a very friendly young man, but spent more time hanging around the service bar than he did serving his diners.
Too bad, as with excellent service our experience would have been a great pleasure. Will we return? Not sure.

The cellar bar at night is always fun with a great atmosphere and good drinks. Brunch on the weekends is a must. Coffee is so good.
