“Lucky find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012

We had rented bikes at the bike shop on Mountain Road and this place is across the street. After riding the Bosque trail all morning, we needed lunch and are so glad we found this place.
It is not fancy but who wants kitsch when you can have awesome food. My hubby has the veggie pizza on peasant crust, and I had the 'golden crown combo' on green chile crust. Both were excellent. I cannot get enough of green chiles. They have green chile bread but we are on vacation and knew most of it would get wasted so I didn't buy. I did buy a blueberry empanada for a snack later and it was tasty too. Guys who work there are very nice and personable. They recommended we go down to the chile shop on Broadway and Mountain to see them roasted fresh chiles which we did and the smell is awesome.
Please support places like this so the Applebees and Dunkin donuts of the world don't take over.

“I wish I lived in this neighborhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

In-house roasted chilies in the pizza crust with vegetarian toppings - it was delicious and almost felt healthy. Special New Mexican cookies when we arrived and delicious fruit empanadas for dessert. This place is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Don't let that fool you - find it and eat there!

“A great local gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

We visit this area on a regular basis and always make a trip to this wonderful local bakery. They give you a free biscochito (the state cookie of New Mexico) went you enter and you have choices of terrific baked goods to choose from--cookies, breads, empanadas. Coffee is great and they make wonderful green chile pizza, a great lunch or dinner meal.. This spot is just east of Old Town and has their own parking lot.

“Friendly little neighborhood bakery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

Cookies, empanadas, and fruit-filled flautas were out of this world. Pizza crust itself was magnificent but the toppings ordinary. If they upped the quality of ingredients they would have a phenomenal pizza going on! Wish we'd had enough time to try salads & sandwiches.
