We also stayed here during Balloon Fiesta 2007. Their location can't be beat for convenience to the field. I agree that they weren't up to the task of the full house (they've only been open since May, so I feel like this was their first big event), but maybe they'll take some 'lessons learned' forward for next year!
We had a 1-br suite which was quite spacious and very nice. The kitchen was well-equiped and the full-sized fridge (with ice maker!) came in handy. The bed was extremely comfortable, which was nice after a long day!
They started the breakfast earlier than usual to accomodate the Fiesta visitors, but unfortunately we were out the door by 5:30 most mornings, so we only had the opportunity to try it once. It was quite a comprehensive spread - waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, breads, etc. And the evening 'snack' was very good, as well - certainly enough for a meal.
The staff was friendly and working hard each time I went by the front desk.
I'd definately stay here again.More
