“Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012 via mobile

Well, you can't go to Albuquerque without seeing, hearing or riding in a hot air balloon

Gorgeous, artful and prolific! Albuquerque is balloon capital of the us

Now if you didn't make it for the annual festival, you don't have the courage to go up in one the museum is the place for you and me!

A must see in Albuquerque. You won't be sorry!

“Up, Up and away!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Visited the International Balloon Museum while attending the hot air balloon fiesta in October. Learned a lot about how the first balloon were fueled and their construction. Displays showed the progress of the hot air balloon to the present day. Although the museum itself is small, it packs a lot of knowledge within its walls. Lots and lots of reading, and small displays. No real hot air balloon on the floor, but there is one on the ceiling...unfortunately you can't really explore it.I did learn a lot about the balloons. Very informative.

“Not as good as it sounds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Not what I expected. Beautiful building but I was kind of disappointed in some of the displays. I thought that they were going to have real hot air balloons in there but was only pictures.

“Good museum, but small.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

This is a good museum that does have very nice volunteers. It is smaller, but the exhibits are informative and it is free on the first Friday of each month. They do have a lot of space, so hopefully they will be able to fill it with more exhibits.
