Though this aquarium is small, it contains some very interesting exhibits. The stand-out exhibit is the huge shark tank full of various types of sharks, as well as rays, sea turtles, and various kinds and sizes of fish. Also of note are the moon jelly tank and the reef fish tanks. One could spend hours just sitting and watching the sea life at any of these spots. All the tanks were clean, with healthy fish. Everything is obviously well taken care of.

My family and I have been to the aquarium many times and always have a great visit. The botanical gardens are adjacent along with the model train exhibit, the butterfly house (in season), the kids' castle and maze, and the new creepy crawler exhibit which will be housed in a new building sometime in 2014. So, despite the aquarium being small by most standards, there's enough here to keep one busy for many hours.
The aquarium itself has excellent exhibits of most of the things kids like: a ray tank, jellyfish room, fish of the coral reefs, shark/large fish tank and many miscellaneous exhibits. Try and be there late morning when they feed the sharks as it's fun. One can touch the rays if a volunteer happens to be on duty. Kids love it and it's probably advantageous that the aquarium isn't huge - they don't get bored!.
Make sure you see the rest of the gardens and the above mentioned attractions as they are well worth it. Everything is included in one price. There is also a combined ticket with the zoo and a train connects the two venues.

This aquarium is very small compared to other aquariums in major cities but it provides a decent amount of exhibits. The jellyfish and large shark tank are the most impressive aspects of this aquarium. It's a great way to experience ocean creatures in this landlocked area. We combined this trip with the Bio Park and spent about 3-4 hours exploring both. The aquarium is very close to Old Town and other attractions.

Took my grand-children to the aquarium while visiting and was surprised at the at variety of fish and exhibits. All was very well maintained and well presented. We all enjoyed it greatly, and I am sure will return again. This is a wonderful opportunity for children being raised in the west to see and learn about the oceans and many of the creatures living in it. Don't miss this, it is only a few blocks from the center of old town, and is well worth the visit.

All the displays of fish were clean, well lit and full of a wide variety of fish. The big fish tank with sharks and others was so enjoyable to watch. I think we sat there for 30 minutes. Great for kids and adults.
