Not bad seeing how this is the dessert. Not very big really, but fun.

“Beautiful aquarium in the middle of a desert”
Reviewed February 25, 2012

I have always loved the ABQ Aquarium! When I lived there it was new and I had not ever been to an aquarium before, so I did not know what a real gem it was. Since then I have had a child who loves all things ocean and wants to be a marine biologist and I have been to numerous aquariums all over the U.S. Albuquerque's aquarium remains high on the list of top aquariums in our family's opinion. It may not be the largest one, but it has great tanks with tons and tons of fish and jellies, many rays, several turtles and plenty of sharks. There is an eel tunnel that is cool and creepy! The exhibits are well designed and well maintained.
The admission fee is extremely reasonable. Also there on the Bio Park property is a great zoo and botanical garden. You can easily spend most of a day at the Bio Park. Plus, it iis just down the street from Old Town, so you can spend the rest of the day there!

“Very nice”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

I love the jellyfish exhibits.  I wish it were a bit bigger. Lots of school kids there during the school year for field trips.  Bottom line: it's very nice, I just wish it were bigger.

“A fish in the desert!”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

Great place for the family. It is a nice little aquarium for a city in the high desert of the southwest.

“UNSURPASSED”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

this Aquarium is a wonderful place to visit. The fish are not as plentiful in many places that I have been, but there are so many different varieties. The Penquin exhibit is worth the visit alone! Visit and be thrilled
