Owner description: A trip to Casa Rondeña Winery will send you into the thicket of the Rio Grande Bosque. Among the cottonwoods sits a bit of Spain. The breathtaking beauty of the architecture paired with the complexity and finesse of the wines will leave you wondering if you've been transported out of Albuquerque. Casa Rondeña has been chosen "Best Winery" 7 years in a row by Albuquerque the Magazine readers! Come experience the magic yourself!

I live in Albuquerque and decided to go try out this winery last weekend with some girlfriends, and I was completely impressed. It is so well-kept and beautiful, it really makes you feel like you could be in Napa for the afternoon! We tried the wine flight for $7 and was not disappointed. Will definitely be going back!!

Casa Rondena brought us back to Albuquerque after a year living elsewhere. Where else can you taste the best wines in NM (we have tried quite a few), bring your own lunch and sit out in the sunshine next to the pond? The Italian villa estate surroundings make you feel as if you're in a different country. We won't be leaving any time soon.

We spent the afternoon at Casa Rondena when visiting friends in Albuquerque. It might seem unlikely that a winery in New Mexico would be a great place to visit, but the grounds and buildings are beautiful, and the wines are quite nice. There is a small charge for tasting, but not out of line with what you would pay at any winery. We chose a bottle and enjoyed it with some cheese, meats and crackers our friends brought, in the winery gardens by the lake. We could see a wedding taking place on the other side of the iron fence - a lovely entertainment for such a setting. With or without a wedding, it's a place I hope to return to the next time we're in Albuquerque.

Found Casa Rondena Winery while taking a Sunday drive through Los Ranchos of Albuquerque. Stopped and did a wine tasting and then took our glass of wine to the pond area to sit. Hundreds of dragonflies filled the air giving the beautiful setting a surreal quality. This place is the spot to pretend you are in Tuscany or some other exotic setting while enjoying a nice glass of either red or white. Reasonable prices for tasting ($7) and individual glasses of wine.

My husband and I joined Casa Rondena Winery several years ago and last January, upped our membership to the 1629 Club. Well worth it! The grounds of Casa Rondena are just beautiful, and the 1629 Club House is the perfect place to relax with a glass or bottle of wine. For full, enjoyable wines in a relaxing and breathtaking atmosphere, visit Casa Rondena...You will never want to leave!
