As the paintout coordinator for Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, I would like give a tip of the hat to Casa Rondena Winery for welcoming artists from the community to paint on the grounds of the winery. Casa Rondena is a favorite location for painting subjects — both the natural surroundings and architecture — with many of our members, There is an aesthetic to the place that is very appealing and the folks who work there are helpful and very friendly.

We are members of the 1629 Club at Casa Rondena winery and we couldn't be happier with our decision. We always pop in there to relax by the beautiful pond or sit by the cozy fire. Not to mention their new pizza menu is fantastic. It's a nice little retreat in the middle of the city.

Enjoyed a great wine tasting on this rainy Saturday afternoon thanks to the dynamic duo of Helen and Kristen in the tasting room. They keep the guests well served and entertained. Moved on to the 1629 Club where we enjoyed a glass of wine and fabulous dishes provided by Ryan and served by Halle. The Parmesan crisps with marinara and the bruschetta with Brie,Stilton, and walnuts were fantastic. I highly recommend.

We always take visitors to Casa Rodena. The setting is beautiful and the wines are excellent! Visitors are first amazed at the lush setting in our desert climate and the beautiful tasting room, but are then very surprised that the wines are outstanding. Casa Rodena is proof that New Mexico can and does produce some great wines.

Come to the vineyard and experience the finest wine on the planet. Absolutely love the pizza by the piñon wood burning fire.
