We coupled this with a visit to the aquarium and had a very enjoyable time in both attractions. The gardens are extremely well laid out and themed. We particularly liked the Japanese garden and had a lovely time watching a roadrunner.

This area is quite nice, the chilies hanging around the flowers and stuff...the windmill thing...very photogenic and the joints even has roses and flowers and bees and butterfles...go as early in the morning as you can before all the butterflies warm up and start flying around. (go to the aquarium later the fish will always be swimming but light in the garden is best very early right when they open).i

Saw this from the train in Tingley Park and thought it looked interesting. I can't praise this place enough, it is so well layed out and pretty diverse. For anyone who is not familiar with these kind of gardens in the US, they are all layed out so you can follow your own path, with just enough sign posting to tell you what you can see, nothing over formal. This one was beautiful, full of weird cactus, a chinese garden, beautiful pond with water lillies, crab apple tree area and so much more. Best bit was the old farm area, with crops, animals and vines. Allow at least a couple of hours, it even has dragons and a miniature village for kids, great place to wander away from the hussle and bustle.

I really enjoyed the walk through this place. Beautiful gardens, sculptures, paths, ponds, rivers & fantastic benches where you can sit and enjoy lunch.

You pay for the Aquarium & Botanic Garden together. The garden is worth it and the aquarium is small but really nice if you go with small children. I went with my daughter who is 24 y.o. and we both loved the peaceful walk and the wonderful pictures we were able to take.
