We stayed at this hotel for four nights while my boyfriend had spine surgery at UNM Hospital. We had our dog and cat with us and this hotel was great for all four of us. The room was very clean and quiet and it was very easy to deal with our large dog because they have an enclosed courtyard for pets and provide pet waste bags. I will say that there was a good amount of dog doo in the courtyard left by lazy pet owners. I picked up three bags' worth just to help out - I guess the staff doesn't want to deal with this issue.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was quite good for a free buffet. They had bacon, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, and many other items. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the lobby, plus you get a coffee maker, microwave, and fridge in your room.

Overall, we had a great stay in spite of the circumstances. It was nice to be so close to the hospital and have the whole "family" in a comfortable room after the surgery. I will return to this hotel for sure if I need to stay in Albuquerque again.

Stayed at the midtown La Quinta for 3 nights in October. Sometimes I wonder why I ever pay more to stay at other hotels. Like other La Quinta's I have visited, this one is spotlessly clean, the bed was new and the service is outstanding. Also, unlike so many other chains in which you cannot get fresh coffee until 7am on the weekend, La Quinta has fresh coffee brewing all night so, if you are an early riser like myself, you don't have to resort to the mini coffee pot in your room. Rooms are nicely appointed, fitness center was decent and even a clean indoor pool. Free internet access as well! Would definitely stay here again.

Was in town for Albuquerque Hopfest. Can't say enough about the friendly staff. They care about their customers and it shows. We had an issue with the A/C unit in our room and it was fixed within 24 hours. Location is convenient to downtown and nice restaurants are located a few minutes away. I would stay here again.

We have to travel to Albuquerque at least every two months for doctor visits (almost a four hour drive from home) and so finding a hotel that not only had great HUMAN accommodations but GREAT PET amenities was vital. WE FOUND IT! The rooms are comfortable for us humans but also for our elderly dog. PLUS the hotel has an enclosed fenced area with a lawn and lots of bushes to investigate that can only be accessed from within the hotel for our dog. This is really nice for us as we don't have to worry about going out after dark to try and find an area to walk our dog (PLUS the hotel provides "doggy litter" bags) which is a nice feature. The breakfast in the morning is very good with good variety and (if not too busy) the staff bakes fresh cookies in the late afternoon. Coffee and tea are always available. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and always cheerful and welcoming. We always feel good when we leave. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: Make reservations direct with hotel -- requests are usually honored if available

We stayed here for four nights during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and we were extremely happy with this hotel. We typically stay at La Quinta Inn's because they are pet friendly. This hotel was perhaps the most pet friendly hotel we've ever visited. More importantly, you would never know this hotel accepts pets because it is so clean and there are no pet odors. This hotel has several designated areas outside the hotel especially for pets. Don't let the location near the highway fool you -- this was one of the quietest hotels we have enjoyed. There is no traffic or pet noise. The staff was exceptional -- the best of any La Quinta we've visited (look at my other reviews). The room was great and included a microwave and small refrigerator. The beds, pillows and linens were new and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices, including: waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruits, yogurts, pastries, juices and coffee. We visit family in Albuquerque often and this is where we will stay in the future. My wife and I highly recommend this La Quinta Inn.

Checked in late afternoon, received a reduced rate from original quote, (always a plus). Check in was quick, staff friendly and accomodating. Room was large, bed confortable, free wifi. Villiage Inn Restaurant on parking lot, an easy walk, food was good. Great breakfast with large selection: scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, waffles, plus dry cereals and fruit. Overall great experience, highly recommend. Downsides...towels were rather scratchy whereas in times past were soft and fluffy, Also, only conditioning shampoo and 2 sml bars of soap were provided. Since I bring my own toiletries this was no problem for me, but might be for some.
