Our company was able to negotiate the government rate of 85$ / night for our large (30 plus) group. I had a nice room on the 7th floor; it was actually more of a suite. I had a living room with fridge / micro and a separate bedroom with two queens. TVs in both rooms. Overall, very nice rooms for the price paid. Breakfast was fantastic, not the usual 'god knows how many times this has been reheated' fare, but cooks flipping omelets, fresh fruit, good coffee, one of the best 'free' breakfasts I have had in a hotel in a while. Another great spot was the Free Happy Hour every day. There was an open bar with free wine, beer, and cocktails as well as a pretty darn good selection of snacks. One afternoon it was TexMex, the next a awesome plate of cheese and crackers, another day it was fresh veggies and dip. The gym was above average, not great. We opted to trail run the great trails along the Sandia Mountains instead of beating up a treadmill. There was also a pool, but did not use.
There is a coffee shop inside that offers good espresso and other items typical of a mini Starbucks. I thought the staff was friendly, service was good, I enjoyed this hotel over many of the others that I have frequented in Albuquerque (the list is quite long). Also, you are only 5 minutes from downtown, which is fun to visit.
