They have the best pasta salad. The pizza is great, and the atmosphere is pretty cool. If you aren't sure what to get the Nick's special has never failed to satisfy me.

Located across the street from the University of New Mexico campus, Saggio's is very popular with students, alumni, locals and tourists alike. Serving sizes are huge and one slice of pizza can make a meal; two slices will fill you up completely. Calzone is delicious, and sandwiches are huge, also yummy.

Saggio's also features a great casual sports bar-type atmosphere in one of their large dining rooms, with several big-screen TVs broadcasting most any type of sport you can imagine. Dining area is loud, however, but no one seems to mind.

This is a combo Itaiian college (UNM) hang out, sports bar located across the street from the Frontier restaurant off Central ave and both are across the street from UNM Johnson gym. Saggio's has consistantly great reasonably priced Itaian food, pizza and a few originals like the southwestern skillet--penne pasta in a white sauce with chicken and green chile. One order is enough for two people. The atmosphere is fun and the decor unique. Across the street is the Frontier Restaurant which is famous for giant cinnamon rolls, and also New Mexican entrees as well as the basic fare. It is open 24 hrs and is a spot students use for studying, as well as socializing.

I know they have great pizzas, but everytime I go there I gotta have their Calzone. The bread is perfectly cooked, and it's so huge that I could never finish it myself - so I either share it or take at least half of it home. Husband always has to have their Chocolate Eclaire -- they are so beautiful and just as scrumptious.
The service is good, and it's a nice atmosphere, too. We go there every time we're out that way - which is not often enough.
