“Good Food, Good Prices”
Reviewed April 18, 2014 via mobile

If you're in the UNM area and want a hearty meal, be sure to visit the Frontier. Our family favors the hearty breakfast burritos smothered with green chile stew in the am. and their mouthwatering burgers in the pm. We indulge in a coffee and a giant buttery cinnamon roll after a performance. You can also get homemade tortillas to go. The menu is varied and reasonable. You order at the counter and your meal is delivered to you in a reasonable time. It's a great place to people watch.

“get yourself a cinnamon roll”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

let me say that the food is not great but if you've read anything about the Burque you must go here and eat a cinnamon roll. you can get a very good feel about the university area with all the denizens of that environment. if you are a tony hillerman afficianado you must visit and look at the clientele. but don't go there and expect any food which is free of lots of carbs, cheese (not the real kind) and chili (green is always hotter). the frontier is a place which talks to route 66 in the 70s and 80s. don't go to eat; go to see - and buy a cinnamon roll.

“Good food and John Wayne atmosphere”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

We go here often as they have great food when you're in the University of New Mexico area. The prices are right and the food is filling. The Frontier rolls are dangerous if you are counting calories.

“Waiste of a Local Tradition”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

One would think that a restaurant across from UNM would not be full of homeless, vagrant type clientele. The place is large with a buffet style food - which is mediocre. Went once after being told many times to go, its great, atmosphere wonderful...but all not true.

“Classic Albuquerque Experience! A Must See!”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

From University students studying, to Albuquerque Society dining before Symphony or Touring Broadway productions, and every one in between. Your experience starts as you walk in the door to see some of the Southwest's most famous artists hanging on the walls. Who knew you could have some of the best dinner food among historic museum worthy art. The atmosphere is casual order at the counter and wait for you pick up number to be called. The cinnamon rolls, and flour tortillas are the best in town. Make sure to get some to go for later. If breakfast burritos are you thing you are in heaven. Undoubtedly the best carne adovada and green chile stew in town.. Green chile is available to all by the ladle. LOCALLY OWNED and worth the visit.
