We were looking to try some authentic New Mexican food and came across this place. The food was great. A little different than what we are used to but it was great. They let us try the chile which I thought was awesome. The service was excellent, our drink were always filled and they were very friendly. This place was a great find!

It's close enough to I-40 and I-25 that this could be a good lunch spot for people just traveling through Albuquerque, but it's good enough that locals should be all over it, too. We had a carne adovada chimi and a carne adovada turnover, both of which were really good. I wish the turnover had come with rice and beans, but it was still a great meal. My wife really enjoyed the chimi.

Stopped off here for lunch driving through Albuquerque. The food was fantastic, and I understand why it has received so much attention. A real display of the fusion of Mexican and Native American flavors in New Mexico. The red chile sauce?!?! Wow. Just go...

I have been enjoying Mary & Tito's since the late 70s. It was good then, its good now. Their menu is basically the same as it has been for years. Why mess with things that aren't broken?

Hmm............what to order? There is really only one choice, carne adovada. Get it in one form or another but get it one way or another. The carne adovada plate, carne adovada burrito, carne adovada pizza or carne adovada "turnovers" will all satisfy. Do yourself, get the red chile sauce. Yeah the green chile is good but this is Mary & Tito's where red rocks!

All the the accompaniments are fine, beans, rice and so on. But even if they weren't, its the carne you come for and return for time and time again.

Back in 2010, the James Beard Foundation chose Mary & Tito's for their Americas Classic Award. Such an honor! It only took them 40 plus years to learn what we in Albuquerque have know for all along!!
