My wife and I were our exploring and hiking all day, and just wanted a cold beer and some good local food. We saw that Range Cafe got good reviews here, and there was one really close to the hotel, so we figured why not? The beer selection was somewhat limited, but good and included several local brews which we wanted to try. We had the shrimp tacos (ask for blue corn tortillas) and a burger. Both were good, but the tacos are really terrific, and come with a great tasting pico/corn relish kind of thing that is really good. Definitely would go back, in fact we did the next night, mostly because we were pressed for time and knew the place was good!

The restaurant was recommended to us by a local friend. We visited both locations right in Albuquerque and simply loved the food. I am very picky when it comes to (New) Mexican food and was thoroughly convinced by what was served. The green chile stew and the spinach enchiladas were heaven. Don't skip the green rice that comes with the enchiladas!

This restaurant offers more than generous portions of well prepared food, The staff is friendly and courteous, meals are served in good time and every effort is made to assure that you require nothing. We had asked at our hotel where a good place to eat would be and this was one of the recommendations - it turned out to be very good. If you are a little sensitive to spicy food I would recommend you be cautious with your menu choice.

Been here a few times to meet friends, and wasn't impressed - everything pass-able, some big prices.

Hash-house and Mexican-American favorites as reinvented by foodies. I recommend the BLOATEM sandwich (http://rangecafe.com/menu.html) but have sampled a fair bit of their menu and doubt that you can go wrong. The main location in Bernalillo has a special charm, but the one in the near Northeast Heights at Wyoming and Montgomery is good too, and so presumably is the one on Menaul near University (reasonably close to both I-25 and I-40). Best of all, the prices are reasonable considering the quality. A number of area restaurants leave you feeling you experienced something special -- here, you also leave with change from a twenty.
