“Just average mostly”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

I used to go to Manny's a couple of times a week over the last 8 or so years and have had many good meals there but have stopped going more than a few times a year because something is usually not done well, such as....hash browns not cooked enough, or extra extra crispy, fariable chile heat and flavor, a variety of eggs cooked somewhat randomly, sandwiches not cooked enough, so I decided I could find breakfast and lunch somewhere else that was a wee bit more consistent.

“Come Hungry”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

We found this restaurant on our morning walk and post walk went there for breakfast. The first good thing was the restaurant has its own parking in the congested Nob Hill neighborhood. We knew it was a good local place as the parking lot was full early in the morning. They have breakfast specials but we ordered from the extensive menu and were overwhelmed by the volume of food we received. The homemade turkey sausage patty about the size of your hand with local spices was a treat but large enough for two or three. I ordered huevos rancheros and found Mannies rendition to be reflective of the SW with a choice of red or green sauce, pinto beans whole not mashed, cheese topping fresh tomato and lettuce and two eggs cooked to order. My wife ordered two eggs, which came with the turkey sausage and was served a small loaf of bran, berry bread that was a treat. The service was classic diner meaning long time employees bantering with local regulars and helping new patrons cope with all the choices. The coffee is not Starbucks but is plentiful and hot.

“Excellent food, Great prices, Historic Route 66 Diner”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

This is one of the do not miss restaurants when you want to eat like a local. The food is excellent, the value is tremendous, the staff are always friendly. Possibly the best breakfasts in the USA!

We love this place. Never had a bad item and they always have some great specials going. Nice variety on the menu. The gyro and fries....yummmm! Service is usually very good. Aesthetically its just a family style diner or restaurant but we love it ;)

“Old U.S. 66 Classic”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

It was already mid-afternoon and we were very hungry when we came upon Mannie's Restaurant on Central Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was a pleasant experience to find a place that reminded me of the good old days of the 1950s. I'm glad we ate there.
