10 years has taught us "pretty much" what we ought to have learned about the food at Ko Palace. If the menu doesn't give you a clue (inexpensive luncheons), you're kidding yourself. The family-run cafe is NOT trying to be "white-table-cloth" in their service or food. They are trying to serve a value, and in the doing, they have been successful. It's simply prepared, fast-served, South-China fare, modified for Americans.
The best item (in our considered opinion) is the Hot 'n Sour soup. Raymond (owner) is realistic, he knows wonderful Chinese food is best found where Chinese people live. What he does is simple, tasty, and fast-served... and oh, did I tell you it's under $7.00 per person, including the tea!
