“Over rated in old town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013 via mobile

We had heard of this restaurant for years, and finally got a chance to try it, located in the old town area of Albuquerque, NM and the area is worth a stop and the church street cafe is worth a try but was not all I have heard and read, we had had much better northern New Mexican.

“Some things good, food not so much”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

We will go back there for beer and appys. Chicharron appy was terrific.

Good things, other than the appy. Decor, ambience, service, cold beer.

Not so good was our main course. It was OK but only that. We have had far better food for the same price in other places. We didn't think the mains were that great. Maybe we hit an "off" day? Maybe it was just us? Don't know.

“okay food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

The carne adovada was just okay. I had a burrito that was filled with carne that had little to no sauce at all inside, and a little red chile sauce on top. I had to order a side of red chile to help it along. We sat outside on the patio, which was quaint but had tons of flys buzzing us.
When in Albuquerque my favorite place for a carne adovada burrito with potatoes on the side is El Patio on Harvard near UNM. They do carne adovada right!

“Cute little eatery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

We visited on Friday morning so the place was quite empty. We were in town for the weekend. The food portion is huge and the chile was good. For us, we thought the food is a good value. There was only one waiter around so the service was a little slow. But very pleasant. The place is very cute if a bit dark inside. We would come back again.

“Excellent food & service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

Our group of six friends ate here recently while on vacation. What a gem! Our server was as delightful as she was efficient. The food was well prepared and very delicious. We sat outside under a grape arbor and snitched a few grapes during courses. Our server brought out sopapillas at the end of the meal and they were the lightest and freshest we've ever had. If you are in Old Town, stop in for a meal and you won't be disappointed.
