“Satisfying, healthy nuevomexicano food, vegetarian options”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

fI've been here twice, the first time I ordered the BLUE CORN enchiladas with green chile which was very good. Most recently, I had chile rellenos. They came with beans on the side, green chile, and excellent potatoes. Portions were good, food hot, service low key and efficient.

This is a great place to go when you want some "cleaner" (a bit more health conscious and also with vegetarian options) New Mexican food in a low key atmosphere. A good standby that you can trust.

“Top notch red chile”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

If you like red chile, go to El Patio. I rate as second to none in that category. Had the classic Carne Adovada, and, despite having had a tooth pulled a two days earlier, had one of the best meals in my life. Hot, sweet, and very flavorful. And the meat was perfectly tender, but not too mushy or overcooked. Simply some of the best New Mexican food i've ever had.

“Excellent Local Favorite”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

Albuquerque mexican food is distinctinly different from California or Tex-Mex mexican food, and El Patio serves it up with panache. Red chili and green chili dominate the menu. The Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas are delicious, with just enough spice. Our server, Taylor, was amazing. There were five of us with fairly complicated orders; he didn't write down a thing, but got everything right. He also was helpful in explaining the menu. The restaurant occupies what appears to be an old house. It looks quite unpretentious outside, but is comfortable and welcoming within.

“Fabulous authentic Mexican food”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

We found this little restaurant by accident. It is tucked away in an interesting area of Albuquerque with not much parking. The food was absolutely to die for and the service was wonderful. What a find! The atmosphere is small and close which only added to the wonderful ambience. We will definitely go back there on our next trip to Albuquerque.
