Mario's is a great family restaurant, very popular because of the large selection of pizza, sandwiches and Italian-American dishes, and the reasonable pricing. The marinara sauce and eggplant parmigiana are our family favorites.
However, for a real taste treat, try the home made tortellini with the added Tomato Alfredo sauce, baked with mozzarella. Absolutely delicious!
Another favorite is the 3 cheeses pizza, with sundried tomato and basil leaves. The Italian wines are pretty good and reasonably priced at $7 a glass.
The complementary tossed salad is mediocre. That's too bad, because it would be easy to fix the balance and apply a little creativity to it, since they serve hundreds of them.
We have found this restaurant to be consistently good, and usually have pleasant and prompt service. An inexpensive standby when you crave Italian-American food.
