“The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in.”

This place is absolutely spotless. A credit to the owner and cleaners. Big chains should learn how to keep hotels clean by visiting this place. Lovely owners. Great location. Safe and quiet. Undesirable guest are declined which is great. There is no need to stay anywhere else in Albuquerque, you'd be stupid to stay elsewhere.

Driving in to the old style motel, we at first thought that we had made an error in reserving here, but were pleasantly surprised with the room. Decorations were a little old fashioned, but the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to the Historic Old Town for dinner, albeit having to cross at a very busy intersection. We stayed again (at a lower price because the Balloon Festival was over) on our way back.

This was a decent little motel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms with everything you'd expect for the price. The real selling point is that it's only a block from the Old Town Plaza so you'll be able to walk over if you want to spend the day in the area. Only rated 4 out of 5 because the price was a tad more than I'd hoped, but I suppose that's what you pay for the location.

We stayed a few nights mid way through our 5 wk trip in the US. Our room was spacious and quiet located towards the end of the motel. The rooms are spotless and we were happy with the facilities (fridge, pool, laundry). The coffee maker in the bathroom is a little odd, but we moved this to the dining room. The motel is a short walk to Old Town, and the owners recommendation for dinner at the local Mexican restaurant was a huge winner. The bed was a little hard, but for the price of the room this is still excellent value. We normally stay in 4-5 star hotels but were very happy with our stay here.

Located right on historic Route 66 this family run motel is walking distance to Old Town with very easy access to I-40 and downtown Albuquerque. The motel is clean, has comfortable rooms and beds, is quiet even though on a major thoroughfare. Decent laundry facility and nice pool area are pluses. Motel is run by Henry and Bo who expressed great concern and help for one of our party who required hospitalization. We stayed there in all a total of seven nights, at the beginning and end of our 14 day visit to North Central New Mexico. Highly recommended for inexpensive clean comfort.

We stayed here less than 24 hours, but found it to be exactly as the other reviews. If you are looking for an inexpensive and comfortable lodging, dont' care about a lot of amenities, or lovely location, this is your place. Very clean, very comfortable. Decor is dated - kind of "grandmotherly", but with a great mattress and sheets that aren't worn - this works for me. We didn't try the pool as it turned a little chilly. Free wi-fi too. No fridge, no hairdryer. Small coffeepot. TV is fine.

We walked the few blocks to Old Town. After seeing Santa Fe we were disappointed that shopping/historic area was so small - about 2 blocks altogether. Lots of souvenir shops. This was right after the Balloon Festival, so maybe some places were closed. Don't plan on spending the day there though!

Overall the area where the motel is located is very commercial and it is on a 4 lane busy boulevard. Nothing quaint about this part of Route 66. It is a very short trip - 10 minutes or so - to the airport, so the location is good for early flights.

We drove around Albuquerque to get the feel of it and to try to find a few Breaking Bad sites - found "The Dog House" and actually had a foot-long chili-cheese dog for supper.

This relic from the 1960s is none the less a nice find only a 5 minute walk to the historic old town. The room is spacious and quite clean. The bathroom is modern well lit and all fixtures worked well. Nothing fancy but a solid choice close to the historic area. Free parking. Recommended.
