“Great for a KOA”
Reviewed September 17, 2009

We stayed in the one room cabin and were pleasantly suprised. The cabin is pretty standard with bunk bed and double bed, small ledge and stool and TV with many channels. Restrooms and showers are clean. You park in front of your cabin and all the cabins are close to the restrooms. Great location of KOA close to Albuquerque and an hour to Santa Fe the Rail Runner can take you to either location which is only about a mile away from the KOA. Staff is very nice and friendly!
Restaurants are close by you really got to try Twisters which has authentic New Mexican burritos with awesome green chile! Give it a try.

Overall, this was a good campground. Stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin, with 4 bunkbeds in one room and 1 double bed in the second. Cabin was clean and it did have A/C, but only in the room with the bunkbeds. During the heat of the summer, you may want to bring a fan to help w/ air circulation in the double bed room. We thought it was a little stuffy in that room.

Bathrooms were o.k. Floors were quite wet/dirty from all the use (it was quite busy everytime we went into the bathrooms). The free pancakes at breakfast were nothing special. Had stacks of them they'd just warm up and serve. Also, since it's just off the freeway, it's not that quiet a location. You felt like you were camping in the city. Overall, if you're trying to save on lodging, it was fine.
