“Its NOT New Mexican Food but "delicious" it truly is!”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

If you are looking for traditional "New Mexican" food you may want to go elsewhere. If you want some wonderfully delicious flavorful food this is just the place! New to its Albuquerque Location this quaint clean understated place has been in town for about 8 months. The food is full of wonderful and surprising flavors while not being a real mouth scorcher(too chili hot). We started with a truly wonderful appetizer of queso--not your average velveeta mix! Real cheeses blended with caramelized onions and strips of roasted green chili is a nice change from the usual queso mix. Its is served with warm mini corn tortillas. The soup is next. Although not a big soup fan, this was a well balanced and tasty meal in itself--chunks of beef, fresh veggies, and rice. The entree was just incredible! Chili Colorado--pork--was completely different than our typical NM fare. The texture was not sloppy--firm but not tough. The flavor--Just wow! The beans and rice served with the meal were not especially unique but served the purpose!

“Great Mexican Breakfast”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

Quality food, good service, clean; the list goes on.

Save room for Tres Leches Cake and / Flan (large servings so don't be afraid to share) ... yes I had desert with my breakfast...

I am glad I found one in my current city - I will be trying it soon!

“High Quality; Good Prices!”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

Featuring the cuisine of Mexico, Delicias is a wonderful addition to the NE Heights for anyone who likes good cooking. Starting with the salsa, we knew we'd found a standout. I had a taco small plate and my husband had a combination plate. Everything was truly delicious. The caldo de res was amazing. Service was great. Atmosphere was welcoming. We will definitely be back!

“Mexican not New Mexican”
Reviewed January 12, 2012

With three locations in Las Cruces and one in El Paso, this Delicias Cafe is a recent addition to Albuquerque's eateries. Open from 7:00AM til 8:00PM, the extensive menu includes both Mexican and American selections. My wife and I went for lunch; she had the Chile Relleno plate and I chose the Carnitas. The two stuffed green chiles had sufficient character (spiciness) to get our attention and the mound of roasted pork carnitas were juicy and tender. Both plates came with Mexican rice, refried beans, the obligatory lettuce and tomato salad, a cup of tasty, vegetable broth soup, and warm tortillas. Additionally, the carnitas came with small containers of 'pico de gallo' and 'chile seco' sauce. WARNING: The chile seco will "light you up" and is considerably hotter than the jalapeño-infused pico de gallo. I asked our server for a different sauce and was rewarded with their delicious, medium hot, fire roasted red chile enchilada sauce. It complimented the pork, just so!
Unfortunately, they do not have a wine and beer license, just non-alcoholic beverages, including horchata and house-made fresh lemonade.
The food was well prepared, quickly served, and the service attentive without being obtrusive.
