With three locations in Las Cruces and one in El Paso, this Delicias Cafe is a recent addition to Albuquerque's eateries. Open from 7:00AM til 8:00PM, the extensive menu includes both Mexican and American selections. My wife and I went for lunch; she had the Chile Relleno plate and I chose the Carnitas. The two stuffed green chiles had sufficient character (spiciness) to get our attention and the mound of roasted pork carnitas were juicy and tender. Both plates came with Mexican rice, refried beans, the obligatory lettuce and tomato salad, a cup of tasty, vegetable broth soup, and warm tortillas. Additionally, the carnitas came with small containers of 'pico de gallo' and 'chile seco' sauce. WARNING: The chile seco will "light you up" and is considerably hotter than the jalapeño-infused pico de gallo. I asked our server for a different sauce and was rewarded with their delicious, medium hot, fire roasted red chile enchilada sauce. It complimented the pork, just so!
Unfortunately, they do not have a wine and beer license, just non-alcoholic beverages, including horchata and house-made fresh lemonade.
The food was well prepared, quickly served, and the service attentive without being obtrusive.
