“Out of Towner - but Believer”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

Found this place 7 years ago while looking for DeCecco lasagna noodles. This place is awesome! Not only do they carry an assortment of genuine Italian deli products, they serve GREAT deli sandwiches. 6 tables and a friendly "at home" atmosphere. No frills but who needs that when the food is exceptional. My wife and I are from Milwaukee but we would never think to miss a meal or two while in ABQ. Be advised that the sandwiches are huge! If there are two eating, order two different. That way you can share and experience different wonderful flavors. The bread is baked in house. Some of the best ever. The owners also sell an assortment of delicious Italian pastries two doors over.

Be sure to come to this place with an appetite!

“JOHNNY'S A GREAT GUY!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

I'm an Italian from back East and true Italian foods, goods and behavior are hard to find in Albuquerque! Johnny Camuglia makes walking into the deli a "return to childhood" experience for me with his welcoming, friendly attitude and total knowledge of all t'ings Italian. The subs are beyond excellence, the atmosphere quaint as if it is a NYC street outside the door and the groceries just what an Italian cook wants to find stocked on the shelves. Great place to have lunch, shop and feel like the old neighborhood!

“Best Pastrami and Tapenade around”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

I hadn't eaten at Tully's in a while, but nothing's changed. The same friendly, helpful people wait on you and my Sarah's Sub (pastrami and tapenade) was still the best in town. I also love the Pelegrino Limonata (carbonated lemonade with a soury tang).

“Outstanding!!!”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

This little deli and pastry shop has been around a long time. I stopped in to buy some capacolla (which is hard to find in Abq) and saw a little sign about their Friday only Panaccio sandwich. So I ordered one for Friday - We returned on Friday and oh what a treat! A super tasty assortment of meats and cheeses baked inside a loaf of bread. The high quality of the Boars Head brand meat showed since after being baked inside the loaf there was very little grease released. The bread was perfect, crusty on the outside, soft and aromatic on the inside.

All their other sandwiches are probably the best in town. They are huge and at a bargain price. They also have home made frozen dinners and other goodies in the freezer; and on the shelves, a good assortment of pastas, oils and other hard to find Italian food. The staff is super friendly. and there are eight or so tables to eat at.

Their web site address has changed. it is now: http://www.tullysitaliandeli.com

“Best Sandwiches in Albuquerque Only Place for Pastrami”
Reviewed November 16, 2011

Tully’s has the best sandwiches of all kinds. Their meatball, sausage, and all their cold cut sandwiches are the things of dreams. They use Boar’s Head meat. The sandwiches are HUGE and easily shared with a friend. Since moving away from Long Beach, California I have dreamed of a hot pastrami with provolone, pickles, and mustard on soft French bread. (Like I used to buy at the Busy Bee.) I hadn’t been able to find one until I asked for it at Tully’s. They knew exactly what I wanted and used the spicy mustard. It was amazing!

In addition to sandwiches Tully’s also has an olive bar with very good selections, frozen entrees, and gourmet grocery items. I have only tried the eggplant parmesan, from the freezer case, but it was very good.

Tully’s is family owed and operated. The same friendly folks wait on you at the counter each time. It is an order at the counter kind of place. There are half a dozen small tables or you can get it to go. After lunch walk two doors south and get the most amazing sugar cookie you have every had from the bakery owned by the same family.
