“Yes, the Crown 'Jewel of Albuquerque'”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Hard to believe that something so beautiful can be this accessible to a major metropolitan city.
You can hike it, bike it, or take a short stroll and watch the wildlife. For anyone who appreciates the outdoors, EG has something for everyone. Unspoiled, too. No matter who reads this and takes to the trail, it will never be over-crowded. Great for kids, families, and visitors. Don't forget to look up.

Reviewed December 16, 2013

For twenty five trips this is my first stop to get my quick desert fix and my last to remember it by.

“Great views and nice trails”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

Beautiful place to take a quick hike while in Albuquerque. You can get some great sunset photos, too, almost any day of the year. The park maintains clean covered picnic areas and well labeled trails. I kick myself for NOT going to this park on every ABQ visit.

“Beautiful park”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This is a great park for hiking, biking, a view of the Sandias and Albuquerque.
Picnic shelters and an occasional wedding. Park rangers on site are very knowledgable and they have programs throughout the summer months.

“Always a stop for us in Albuquerque”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We visit friends in Albuquerque almost annually and this is one of our stops with the kids. The park is loaded with geocaches and the kids love to hunt them. It's fun for everyone and we get a nice walk in the desert. Plenty of trails to wander but there is almost no shade anywhere so take sunscreen, a hat and water. There is a small fee for parking. Stay vigilant for bicycles coming from behind you.
