“Great New Mexican Style Food”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Came here for a family celebration. Staff was great! They were available to accommodate all us with ease and professionalism ( there were 34 of us!). I had the stuffed sopapilla. Yummy! Great serving sizes, delicious salsa. Great decor. Lots of beautiful local art work that graces the walls of the place. Love this place. Definitely worth trying if you want authentic New Mexican food.

“Yuck.”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We were seated at a table that seemed to be more or less off by itself near the front of the restaurant. It didn't look all that busy, but maybe they thought we'd be happier by ourselves? Or maybe this is considered a nicer table? Not sure as we couldn't really see the rest of the restaurant from where we sat.

Our food arrived within what seemed like the speed of light. We were a little taken aback. That would have been okay, but the food was terrible. It tasted like the sauce came from a can. Everything tasted warmed over and not particularly good. We ate about half.

Our dishes were whisked away and we were presented with our check. The whole thing was over pretty quickly. Maybe it was just a dream? It was by far our strangest experience ever in a restaurant in New Mexico.

“Hard review to write....”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

We have frequented El Bruno's many times as it is one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants in Albuquerque and we love their food and salsa. We even dined once at their restaurant in Cuba, NM. That is why this is a hard review to write. We have not visited El Bruno's in over 6 months. We were finally tired of the constant "up-charges". We were "upcharged" for extra cheese instead of tomatoes. We were "up-charged" for potatoes instead of beans and rice. When we questioned this policy, the manager actually tried to explain how potatoes were supposedly more expensive than beans and rice (not at my grocery store). We'd finally had enough. We miss it, but they don't get our business anymore. We also no longer recommend it to friends.

“Piñón Trout, delicious!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This restaurant is on fourth street NW. It has good service and we like to go eat dinner before we go to the Adobe Theater. Their menu is mainy New Mexican food. What I want to recommend is the Piñon Trout and the spinach....absolutely I delicious. Also the Piñón Chicken is pretty good.

They have a small boutique that sells some fun, interesting clothes and jewelry. If you live in the neighborhood, stop by, you will do find this restaurant has a good atmosphere. My husband and I like to sit at the bar area.

“Worth a visit!”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Had lunch here. They make a really good guacamole, right at your table! Had the chicken with pinon sauce--really yummy. It came with crispy spinach and papitas, both also tasty. Also tasted the special--rib eye with red and green chile--very tender and good!
