There are many good things about this extended stay hotel. The free breakfast and dinner served 5 days a week is exceptional. The room size is decent, the kitchen has everything needed to cook; a 2-burner stovetop, a regular size refrigerator, pots, pans, plates. Its nice having tea in the AM and PM. You're across the street from the best high end outdoor shopping mall in ABQ and surrounded by many chain type restaurants if that's your thing. The majority of the staff is friendly and helpful, a big plus. My room was located near the corner so the room was dark and got little sunlight. The room colors reflect New Mexico colors of orange and yellow and with the bedspread and curtains being the same color made the room dull and drab. The blackout curtains are good to have to be able to sleep in. The windows open about 6" which allows for fresh air. The air conditioning unit is old and has a continuous loud clanking noise and can get too cold (it froze twice and maintenance just switched out the unit each time) so I shut it off at night and if the days were under 90 degrees kept it off during the day. The bathroom can use an update as the tub shower is made for tall people. Being 5' 2" the shower head was over 2 feet away, making for lots of cold air in between. Being from Hawaii I'm use to soft water and the hard water here in ABQ made my skin dry. The bathroom door hits your knees while sitting on the toilet, tight space. The hallway carpeting sags everywhere, but especially on the first floor. There are two large size flat screen TV's mounted on tables, but wish they were mounted on the wall. I'm not a Trader Joe's fan, but there is Whole Foods and Sprouts nearby. A large indoor mall is also nearby as well as Dillard's, so lots of shopping if you're into that and all walking distance if you're left without a car. My favorite store is the Apple Store, the only one in Albquerque.

We stayed one night since we were passing through. We are Hilton Honors members, and were able to use points for this hotel. The hotel is located in Uptown Albuquerque, and there is upscale shopping and restaurants all around. Nice area to just stroll and window shop if you so choose. Great choice of eateries around as well. Very nice area. We were on the 5th floor, and as soon as we got off the elevator, the hallway was warm (78-80 degrees or warmer). Our room was no different - very warm. We asked for a different room thinking it was the AC, but the other room was just the same - so we stayed in our original room (a king suite). It turns out that the AC is triggered by motion sensors. This is fine as long as you are up and about. But at night, the AC would go back off and the room warmed up again. Our girls (3 and 7) swam in the pool for a bit as there were lots of other kids swimming and had a good time. I would definitely stay in this area again, but probably not in Homewood Suites again.

The best long term stay hotel I have experienced. Location of the hotel was wonderful. An outdoor mall across one side of the street with a huge variety of shops and restaurants plus Trader Joe's. On another side of the street an indoor mall. If shopping or just walking is your thing the best! Close to major freeways also.

Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous, the most efficient I have had the pleasure of meeting. Rooms are a good size, housekeeping excellent.

For this type of hotel probably the best and most diverse dinners offered 4 nights a week. Breakfast was pretty good too.

If I have to say anything negative it would be the pool which is outdoors ( personal preference is indoors so it would be open year around) and no jacuzzi.

Highly recommend this hotel!

First off, for the person who said this is in a bad location... Are you serious? This hotel is located in UPTOWN Albuquerque right next to a fabulous shopping center called ABQ Uptown which has stores like Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, Michael Kors etc. as well as fantastic restaurants. We had our dogs with us but were still given a very clean room unlike some other hotels who have filthy pet rooms. My pups were also greeted with a goodie bag which included treats and a new toy! One employee saw us walking our dogs outside and went out of his way to approach us to let us know where a grass area was as he saw our dogs weren't too fond of the gravel. The rest of the staff was super friendly as well. Great hotel!

Light came into unit and woke me up early, AC was really loud and bed was hard. No Hot tub, so didn't use the pool. Food not very good breakfast or dinner, not worth the extra to eat at hotel, went out every night for something eatable ended up costing alot more that I had planned.

Our family of five stayed here. The sofabed was comfortable enough not to elicit complaints from our teenager. The location is convenient to upscale shopping. All the facilities were clean, and the breakfast buffet had a nice selection.

As a frequent business traveler I appreciate a speedy check in and a knowledgeable staff. Every time I stay at this Homewood I can count on Chris and his staff being friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean and make for a comfortable stay for someone who travels frequently.
