“Not all that”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

This is the most expensive Homewood Suites in New Mexico, which they blame on the area, but it is simply NOT worth the money. The rooms are comfortable, but the breakfast and dinner food are terrible, the elevator badly jolts, the business center's computers are either broken, virused, very slow or just not working. These are little things you would not expect from a place that charges close to $150/night in Albuquerque at least. The housekeeping staff while thorough overkills the place with unnecessarily strong chemicals that are often over-whelming. They recently re-surfaced all the bathtubs so there was a horrible smell throughout the hotel that was sickening. The staff was ok, nothing great, very average bordering on unhelpful. There are definitely better places to stay in the area cuz this place is not worth their exorbitant rates that they refuse to negotiate while many other Homewood Suites do.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that had tub surfaced months ago, not recently cuz smell is sickening.

I stay at Homewood Suites and Hilton properties almost evey week as I travel for business. This Homewood Suites is conveniently located by two major intersections - Menaul and Louisiana - literally acoss the street from the mall, strip shopping centers of high end shops, restaurants, and banking, plus both I25 and I40.

The hotel is spotless, very New Mexican with gorgeous colors and NM accents throughout. The breakfast buffet was limited and was not always filled with hot food; the NM Homewood Suites do not include beer and wine at their reception, as do other states' Homewood Suites. There is plenty of lighted parking and a safe environment with very friendly staff.

Room Tip: Stay at the bottom level away from the lobby for the quietest rooms and closer to parking areas.

Stayed at this hotel during a road trip from California. Very convenient access off I-40. The hotel itself was great. Free wi-fi (I had no problem with the speed),hot breakfast buffet and 24 hr coffee. The area has quite an array of restaurants, sports bars, and fast food places. There is a Trader Joe's across the street where you can stock up on snacks, etc for the road. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel to attend the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It's our second stay at this hotel and on our next trip to Albuquerque this is where we will stay again. The facility is clean, well decorated, & the staff friendly and very professional. Breakfast hits the spot. The location is quiet with easy access to both I 25 & I 70. The hotel is next to the upscale ABQ Uptown Shopping Complex and Coronado Mall. There are many quality restaurants and shops in the area. For the Balloon Fiesta it's a short walk to the bus pickup and drop-off point - very convenient. We ate at the Elephant Bar Restaurant which is a short stroll and has excellent food & service.

While spending the weekend in Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta we were quite disappointed that the fiesta had been cancelled due to weather. We made our way back to the Homewood Suites where we were happily greeted at the front door. The staff was quick to help my family and I find ways to entertain ourselves in the beautiful city of Albuquerque. Thanks to the staff at the Homewood Suites our weekend get away was saved. We were able to venture into the city flawlessly with their directions and enjoy the Balloon Fiesta the next morning.... Oh, and the breakfast on the go was great too!!!!

This hotel is a nice and has great food for breakfast and weekday dinners. The Balloon feista was great and this hotel was a great place to stay. true, the elevators need more squirrels to speed them up but we stayed on the third floor so took the stairs. Clean room and nice to have refrigerator and dishwasher.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the Sandia mountains, for beautiful sunrises!

The rooms were clean and pleasantly decorated. The location was convenient to the interstate as well as the restaurants at the ABQ Uptown shopping area, and there is a Trader Joe's just a short walk away. The free breakfasts and Mon-Thu dinners were perfectly nice. I have already booked my room for my next stay in Albuquerque.
