Came into old town ABQ to look around and find a place for dinner. This place looked reasonably good. We sat outside which is nice although it was very hot that day and inside with AC would have been better but nothing was available. We were seated right away but it took several minutes to be waited on and several more for drinks to arrive. They seemed to have no system for waiting on tables and checking. Maybe they were just too busy, although there were tables available outside. Food was good but nothing special.

We stopped for lunch around 1:15 on a Wed. This place is on the E side of plaza off the street. We got the street taco special for $6.99 and the snack special of four taquitoes for $4.99. Both of us thought they were great. They came with very lage drinks and a side of chips and salsa. The friendly staff gave excellent service.

Charming little restaurant in Old Town Albuquerque. We shared on order of a spicy pork Quesadilla with french fries and Iced Tea. Quesadilla was excellent and more than enough for lunch for 2. The french fries which a number of reviewers raved about, were just so/so to us. Great inexpensive meal though. Only thing that could make it better would be a margarita.

Spending time in Albuquerque wasn't on our agenda but when the flight arrived without our bags we had to kill 3 hours somewhere until our luggage arrived. We stumbled upon this place in Old Town and really enjoyed it. The service was quite weak and inattentive, although they were all very nice. The main disappointment was the lack of booze; the weather and setting were perfect for a couple of ice cold margaritas. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak quesadilla and loved it. We also shared a couple orders of fries with sauces from the Fry Bar which were really good too.

They encourage every customer to post a review on either Yelp or Urbanspoon. I asked if they ever use TripAdvisor and they had never heard of it! Shame!

After a long flight from the East Coast to Albuquerque with only a couple of packages on peanuts to eat, I walked from the nearby Hotel Albuquerque and entered Nick Garcia's Patio looking for a meal. And I found a good one at the Quesadilla Grille. Owned and operated by descendants of one of the original families of Albuquerque, the Quesadilla Grille specializes in all kinds of quesadillas, normally an appetizer, and makes them a meal.

You can eat inside, but if the weather is at all comfortable, eat on the patio and enjoy the weather and atmosphere of Old Town Albuquerque complete with Latino music gently playing in the area.

The menu has an extensive selection of quesadillas of all kinds. To satisfy my hunger, I opted for a special not on the normal menu, street tacos. These are three open-faced soft tacos of beef, chicken or vegetarian varieties. They were attractively served with fresh baked corn chips and salsa. Top this off with an Arnold Palmer Iced Tea (half iced tea and half lemonade) and you have a very satisfying meal for a very reasonable price.

Note that due to the proximity to the San Felipe de Neri Church, the oldest building in the city, beer and wine are not served.

All products that are served are cooked at the Grille from fresh ingredients bought that morning. It is a delicious and refreshing stop during your exploration of Old Town Albuquerque.
