“A Fantastic Property”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

We spent only a single night at this beautifully designed property but we'd consider traveling through Albuquerque again just to have more time there. This former railroad worker hospital has been wonderfully re-imagined and renovated as a top-notch hotel. Everywhere the eye and the body rests is a completely satisfying experience -- and the rooftop lounge is a perfect place to consider the wonders of a New Mexican sunset. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and every person we interacted with was more lovely than the last. Cheers to the owners, management and staff of this unique, inspired hotel.

Room Tip: Choose one of the "cottages" or a suite/room on the side of the hotel opposite the interst...

Stayed at the Parq Central twice during a trip to NM; rooms very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. Great bed and pillows; excellent shower; refrigerator in deluxe king room. Spotless rooms and public areas; is pet-friendly but no signs of negative impacts; very cheerful and helpful staff. Very good complementary continental breakfast; liked the coffee bars in the hallways. Good security with carded access to floors / areas where rooms are located. Rooftop lounge with both indoor and outdoor seating a real plus. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Room Tip: We had rooms on the first and second floors; both were quiet and had good sound proofing in spite of...

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Parq in Albuquerque for three nights. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. As for the property.......first class and clean. Hotel Parq has SOLE, which is hard to find these days.

Room Tip: Rooms to the back are the quietest.

I stayed at the Hotel Parq Central for 3 nights while visiting Albuquerque, using it as a base camp doing a self driven Breaking Bad film location tour. It was in a perfect location for visiting the sights, as a lot of it was reachable on foot (the Cross Roads Motel is across the road!).

I checked in late afternoon and was greeted by the reception team. After a quick and friendly check in i checked out my room. On arrival my first impression of the room was how clean it was, especially for a pet friendly hotel. I'm not the type to get a white glove out but i couldn't find one spec of dust, it was literally spotless. The room was fresh and felt extremely new and modern looking. The bed was extremely comfy and had i some great nights sleep in it, perhaps too comfy as i didn't want to get up in the morning! The bathroom was ultra modern and was equipped with a great shower which i also didn't want to get out of.

Breakfast was included in my room package and was a fabulous layout with everything you needed to get the day going. I've experience quite a hotel breakfasts and wasn't expecting much but i was pleasantly surprised with the choice and quality of what was on offer. Plenty of breads, danishes, oatmeal and fruit etc and plenty of drinks. Theres also a couple of quiches on offer which looked pretty good but i'm not a massive fan of quiche so i passed.

Apart from breakfast i never actually ate at the hotel. I had a look at the food menu but nothing really struck my fancy. The lady on the desk recommended some great places for food that delivered, as i was on my own it wasn't worth dining out. One night i had a pizza delivered, for some reason they delivered two so i offered one to the guys on the front desk which was very gratefully received!

The Hotel itself is situated in a perfect location with some great transport links, although don't head towards old town on foot at night as it seems like the rougher part of town. I made the mistake of walking through it once and i must of been stopped about 6 or 7 times by people asking for money.

The staff of the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful, always greeting you in and out etc. I especially loved the hotel dog who always had her paws on the desk, curiously looking around. On checkout the hotel manager wished me saved travels and opened to door for me which i think was a nice touch.

I had a great few nights at HPC and i wish i would of stayed a few more. The hotel and staff make you feel incredibly welcome and it feels like one big friendly family. Not typical of what most hotels are like these days.

I can't wait to go back

The facilities are very upscale, particularly for the price. We loved the boutique feel. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. We've stayed there twice now -- once for an interview and once when we moved here -- and had the same impression both times.

My husband and I stayed at hotel park central for one night. The hotel itself it very nice. The room was beautiful unfortunately all of this was over shadowed by a motorcycle gang that came into the apothecary lounge and tried to cause a scene because the bar manager would not allow them to be served when they brought alcohol into the lounge. The situation quickly escalated and the group got angry and threatened the staff and other guests. It was extremely uncomfortable and we moved away from the situation. We as guests had to call the front desk to get security upstairs. By the time security had arrived one of the men had already forced himself into the kitchen and started throwing punches. The one and only security guard was incapable of handling the situation and the gang continued to try to force their agenda of getting drinks. We then called back to he front desk that they needed to call the police because the gang outnumbered the staff and security guard. The gang finally left but only for a minutes to come back upstairs still trying to get drinks. We left the bar because things were not getting better and we saw one of the people in the gang leaving with 8 drinks in hand. We were disappointed to find out that these same people were staying on our floor of the hotel when we had been told by the staff at the lounge that none of these people were staying at the hotel. When we called the front desk to day that we did not think the situation had been handled correctly we were told the manager would not be in until 7am. I find it hard to believe at an establishment of this caliber that a situation can escalate and there would be no manager. When we went to check out not only were we not asked about our stay but we were not asked about the incident. We will not be staying at this hotel again. Very disappointing. We understand that situations like this can happen anywhere it was the way it was handled that has caused us to give and write this review.

We stayed at this boutique hotel on an overnight in Albuquerque, and wished we had had more time to spend. Lovely is the word for it. The room we were in was adequate in size but had a wonderfully appointed bath/shower. The hotel is quiet and colors are cheerful. There are interesting historical, railroad-oriented displays around the hotel indicating the building's past. We had a drink in the evening at the rooftop bar and watched the evening lights come on all over the city. Very romantic. The breakfast was very nice and we enjoyed it out on the lovely private patio.
We were so pleasantly surprised at finding this gem and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: We would have preferred a room on the patio side and not street side.
