“Stay here, not there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2011

This is an excellent boutique hotel for a city the size of Albuquerque. I won't bother to repeat all the accolades of the other reviewers (which I think give an accurate picture) but will note that despite the raves, I gave it four, not five stars. I mean, have you stayed at the Four Seasons Aviara ? George V in Paris? Those are five star hotels...ok, ok, not a fair comparison, you don't get a room for under $200 per night at either one. (we had a roomy small suite for $220 per night.) Minor negatives: Although the hotel seems to have excellent soundproofing, if you are a very light sleeper request a room away from the interstate highway. We could hear muffled traffic noise in our room at night. It was not bothersome to us, may be to you. Bedroom lighting was "romantic" (meaning not enough light to see.) Part of being a green hotel, I guess. Also, the hotel has no restaurant but it does provide an excellent included breakfast (quiche, fruit, yogurt, various baked goods (all freshly prepared) cereals, bagels, etc. And good coffee. Also has a nice small cocktail lounge on the roof. I recommend you stay here if the location works for you.

We travelled to Albuquerque for the NCAA Division II track and field championships. Last year we stayed at Hotel Andaluz, which is a beautiful hotel, but there are no outside areas. You walk out the door and you are on the street! This year we chose the Hotel Parq Central based on a recommendation from a taxi driver last year. We were not disappointed! The rooms were comfortable and beautiful and the entire grounds were spotless! The outside patio areas were secure and cozy and the 4th floor lounge was fun! You can take your party outside or remain inside. The staff was very attentive and polite and genuinely caring. I would definately recommend this hotel. AND the cost was $50 less per night than the Hotel Andaluz.

This is one great hotel. The building dates from the 1920s and was an old railroad hospital. The owners have spared no expense in rehabbing and updating the property in 2010. The staff was marvelous. Although the hotel has no restaurant, the top floor has been remodeled into an indoor-outdoor lounge with drinks and light snacks. It has a great view of Albuquerque and the Sandias. Our room was a bit small, but had one of the best handicapped bathrooms we have ever had (my wife is in a wheelchair). Furnishings and bed were top quality. Parking is free. The only slight negative I would mention is that the area around the hotel is not the best, although security at the hotel was excellent. Since the hotel is right on busy Central Ave. and the area is well lit, I doubt that security would be an issue.

I had a fantastic stay there to get away and celebrate a special occasion with my girlfriend. The service was over the top and completely unexpected…from the bartender who saw me struggling with my bags in the elevator and offered to help me to my room; to the restaurant staff that gave us amazing personalized and accommodating attention.

Special thanks to Ben, Oscar, and Jade who made us feel really special.

It was a great and memorable stay...very highly recommended.

FYI: The rooftop deck next to the lounge may have the best view city view of Albuquerque that Ive seen. Amazing…

Hotel Parq Central is great! It's centrally located in downtown Albquerque. It offers shuttle service to/from ALBQ airport (only 8 minutes!)
It's a first class hotel with the charm of the past. Historically, it was a medical institution. The design of the newly renovated structures has kept the integrity of the buildings' history, but provides the modern amenities of a luxury hotel. Its outside patios, lobby and lounge areas have tastefully taken the 'urban setting' to a better place of quiet and relaxation.
The complimentary breakfast was attractively served in the hotel's dining area. The coffee was great. The quiche, pastries, yogurt ... were quality foods.
Wishing the best success to this new and very, very pleasant hotel.

We'll definitely stay at the Hotel Parq Central when in Albuquerque!

I love a good boutique hotel and Albuquerque finally has one to offer. The Hotel Parc Central lives up to its boutique designation in every way. The contemporary and hip decor is both classic and beautiful without being overdone. The staff were wonderfully accomodating, particularly with my small pet. The continental breakfast was healthy and fresh. I will stay here again for sure...even thought I live one hour away in Santa Fe. I am sucker for a beautiful hotel and this hotel more than fits the bill. Worth every penny and then some!

Loved the room, and slept like a baby! Bedding was very comfortable and no hall noise!
The rooftop lounge was a treat. Very nicely done! Personnel all very friendly and helpful.
