“Fantastic value for money”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

Went here with family and visited the aquarium first. The shark tank near the end of the tour was amazing! We then visited the botanical gardens which were beautiful. Some of our group were hungry so we cut our visit short and will have to come back to see the rest. Worth the visit!

“Garden and Aquarium”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Although still expanding and not quite complete, this is another must do while in Albuquerque. I have never seen stingrays break the surface of the water and "applaud" with their fins as they did for my wife. Friendly staff who can answer questions. The gardens next door will keep you occupied for hours.

“Pleasant surprise!”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

We bought the $20 all-inclusive ticket (zoo/gardens/aquarium/train) for the day. The aquarium area is small, but very good. The gardens are gorgeous! My favorite area was the wedding ceremony area. I've never seen a more beautiful place for a wedding!!! The zoo was surprisingly great. It reminded us of the San Diego zoo, only on a much smaller scale. The grounds were immaculate and the animals all looked well cared for. We made sure to catch the daily polar bear feeding - what a thrill! We were at the Bio Park 10:30
AM - 4:00 PM and didn't see everything. There was one section of the zoo we missed and were just too tired to go back. We did eat at the Shark Reef Café at the aquarium at the end of our day. The food was very good. For $20 each, the ABQ Bio Park is a real bargain. Definitely do this while in Albuquerque!

“Excellent small zoo!”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Friendly staff, excellently cared for animals in tasteful exhibits - and the polar bear exhibit is quite an impressive feat of engineering! I try to visit zoos wherever I go, and this one really has a charm. Layout was initially a bit confusing, but having the exhibits tucked into naturalistic settings really has its charm. Will have to come back for a longer visit next time!

“Walking around”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

It was a very hot day so the Aquarium was pretty packed. Not very large, average exhibits. We did not see the botanic gardens as we were short on time and wanted to go to the zoo. We asked for directions from a security guard. She was very hospitable and took the time to explain how to maximize our time, since it was already late in the day. I wish we had taken her name.
