Beautiful light display of mostly animals and flowers - very creative and colorful. A couple were animatronic, most are oversized, some have lights that flicker and move. Worth the walk in the freezing night air. Extremely crowded when we went (Dec. 23rd) between 7:15 and 9pm. Then we heard it was open the week of Christmas until 10pm. If I knew that, I'd have gone later in the evening. Too many strollers nipping at my heals. Gift shops open, bathrooms aplenty, assorted stations selling hot drinks and snacks. A live band performed in one of the side gardens. $10 to get in but goes to the biological park.

Beautifully maintained grounds and plantings for each season. Even more special during the spectacular River of Lights show in late November through December.

The park is easily walkable for the entire family, and there is an indoor aquarium and outdoor pond. Room for a picnic and plenty of exhibits and displays to explore.

We went to see the River of Lights display that is going on until the end of December. I cannot even imagine a more entertaining night than we had! The live music and cocoa, coupled with the spectacular light displays made the whole family ooh and ahh.

Large grassy area with large shade trees beside a refreshing pond provide a cool retreat in the summer heat. The Japanese garden also features a pond with a water fall. The roses are absolutely gorgeous! There's a wide variety of colors and scents in the two rose garden areas. The children's fantasy garden is great fun with its giant carrots and insects, walk through maze, and pumpkin you hang out in the inside of. As if all that isn't enough, there's a replica of an old farm homestead. Complete with livestock, an orchard, and bountiful flower beds. For an additional experience of moisture in the dry climate, you can enjoy the enclosed Mediterranean gardens. If you think cacti are fascinating, you'll like the house of succulents. Thank you Albuquerque! I am a transplanted Easterner who really appreciates the plant life and water features at the Biopark!
