The BioPark refers to the city's zoo, botanical garden, and aquarium altogether. You can get a combo ticket for all 3, including rides on a train between them, except on Mondays when they don't run the train for some reason. We happened to be there on a Monday. We were most interested in the zoo, so we started there and enjoyed it so much that we ran out of time in the day to see the botanical garden and aquarium. It is a very nice zoo that is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), which means it has to meet certain standards year after year. They have nice exhibits and a good assortment of animals. We especially enjoyed the Mexican Wolf exhibit, as the wolves were very active; the red kangaroo exhibit, where we saw a female with a joey in her pouch; and the orangutan exhibit. The only thing that can really be improved is signage in the zoo--some was missing or confusing.

The minute you walk in, the scent of the beautiful roses stops you in your tracks. Landscaped gardens and beautiful pots filled with flowers. The childrens garden is really cute.

We thoroughly enjoyed the park. Kudos for Albuquerque for this Park. I agree with the reviewer on the lack of signage. We would have had trouble finding it without our gps. Once there, there was one place to buy tickets, but two different entrances. One for the Aquarium and one for the gardens, all not very well marked. The Garden was quite nice and the large Scale Garden railroad was a fun addition to the garden. The butterfly house was better than most. Don't judge the aquarium by the first room, there was more to it than the first impression.

A lovely spot with wonderful plants. So big that it is easy to get lost. Great spot to bring family and get in a good walk while enjoying the gardens.
