Absolutely lovely and charming spot for a getaway. We were very pleased with the entire experience. Clean, comfortable one bedroom apartment was perfect for our weekend stay and had everything we needed. Private parking and entrance was a plus, hot breakfast prepared to order was delicious. Location is wonderful with easy access to zoo, aquarium, gardens and old town. Our only (small) complaint was a somewhat noisy heater. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a very charming property that we were so pleasantly surprised to find. We felt that we could not have stayed in a better place for the atmosphere and historic significance that is so in tune with Albuquerque. What better place to stay than an historic artist colony. We stayed in the Sandia that was very roomy and perfect for the 3 family members. The front desk attendant was very helpful. The B&B owner/host was also personable and very helpful with suggestions for local sightseeing trips. The price is very reasonable.

The full service made-to-order breakfast was fantastic as was the cozy fireplace. The property was filled with benches and charming vintage walkways and artifacts. The casita was very spacious and everything was in good working order. Very quaint with nice touches. The private drive was off a quiet neighborhood street. The kitchen sink was a bit dated, but we loved the vintage tile countertop and vintage cabinets. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace both evenings.

We took a short walk to Old Town shops and felt safe. It was conveniently located to great restaurants.

We were sad to leave. The Casa De Suenos is an absolute jewel. We would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Albuquerque and would most definitely stay here again and again if we are fortunate enough to return to this area.

This place is the best!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sandia with 2 large bedrooms, loads of closets, large living room with wood firepla...

This inn is a cross between a B&B and hotel. The staff is very professional, friendly and courteous. The casitas/rooms are tastefully decorated and well stocked (microwave-fridge-wine opener-wine glasses-hair dryer etc). We stayed at one of the cheapest rooms and we were very happy with the privacy. We used the nice fireplace in the room, it was all setup for us to use.The breakfast is great and you have your choices of different hot breakfast in addition to the continental style. It is a 2 minute walk to the plaza and walking distance to many restaurants. The location is also great, 10 minutes from the highway and centrally located. Will definitely stay there next time in ABQ.

Room Tip: I like the separate casita very much but there are others that have other goodies like hot tub/court...

This is a charming place, with one bedroom casitas and little kitchens. We are regular business travelers to Albuquerque and were just burning out on the upscale places (Hyatt, Embassy Suites, Sheraton, etc), and wanted something different. It's an old artist colony with little cottages arranged in a rectangle enclosing a large courtyard. Each cottage has a front street entrance (small quiet streets), and a back door into the courtyard. Our cottage ("Route 66") was very clean, filled with tasteful art and new hardwood floors. The bed was very comfy, the furniture was in good condition and clean. The breakfast area (free off a menu) was spectacular, a burning fireplace, many tables, roomy and comfortable. The lobby (open 24/7) was comfortable and artsy as well, and had free computer and internet. The internet in our room had a fair signal, plenty for email, etc.

It's true that the plumbing and heating systems are dated, even a little noisy, but they are in good working order. You know, if you want to get away from the big chains, you have to do a little give and take. I'll take a funky faucet in exchange for the free magnificent breakfast burrito with chorizo, and a noisy heater in exchange for shiny hardwood floors and local art.

The front desk is welcoming and service oriented, and has all the brochures for local attractions. It is a good place for business folks like us or vacationing families.

We are long time Albuquerque business visitors, so we feel secure there. The downtown drunks and homeless are nice enough and I have never been bothered. I can tell you that we felt as safe in the Casas as downtown at the Hyatt. The after hours location is better at Casas than downtown, because Old Town (two blocks away) is where all the interesting shops and restaurants are located, unless you are going way out to the University District. Our favorite Albuquerque restaurant, Antiquity, is 2 and half blocks from the Casas. Our favorite Mexican diner, Garcias, is midway between Casas and downtown (5 blocks).

Casas de Suenos is where we will be staying for future short term visits.

Historic building with a very nice courtyard. Very nice if you need a seporate sleeping space. It really is like having your own apartment. Overall its a 4 out of 5. The amenities are a 2 of 5. Hot water ran out in 10 minutes. Not a good flow on the bathroom sink. Bed was very, very hard. Breakfast was 5 out of 5. Made-to-order menu with great coffee. The owner is friendly without being overly chatty. Old town atmosphere was 5 of 5. Location was key for me. Walked to old town, zoo, aquarium, gardens. I would definately stay there again.

I must admit that we were a little concerned about staying at the Casas de Suenos Old Country Inn when we were in transit - we thought it was on a major road ... however this place is an absolute hidden treasure and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Albuquerque. It is an historic adobe style inn comprising individual casitas. We had a two bedroom casita with separate lounge, dining and kitchen areas ... unexpectedly spacious! The kitchen has all the necessities if you are inclined to stay in for the evening or have bought some supplies with you. The room included free wifi and a complimentary hot breakfast which is made to order - try their breakfast burrito [seriously!]. The staff are really personable and helpful and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. Further, the Inn is just a short walk from Old Town which is a total delight. It is also in close walking distance to a number of eateries and there is a Walgreens just up the road. We'll definitely be back!

We recently completed our third stay at Casas de Suenos. We love these unique casitas hidden all around a large, quiet courtyard. We've stayed in Ivy Cottage (wonderful!), El Rincon (2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and very beautiful), and O'Keeffe (cozy 1 bedroom). Breakfasts are served in a lovely dining room overlooking the courtyard, and are delicious! We especially like the breakfast burritos. Old Town is a a short two block walk, which makes this historic inn the perfect place to stay for exploring the shops and restaurants (be sure to eat at Church Street Cafe!). The service we receive from the owner and staff is always exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is about as opposite of a chain hotel as you can get, yet the price is less expensive than most. We look forward to our next stay!!

Room Tip: Each casita is unique. We especially enjoyed Ivy Cottage and El Rincon which were roomy and very qu...
