“Very good motel at a bargain price”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

This is a very good motel at a bargain price. Lisa was on duty when we were there and she was ultra-helpful. The motel is old but it has been updated and furniture was all fairly new. The king bed was firm and comfortable. The motel is on Central Avenue (old route 66) but it was quiet -- we heard nothing.

The place is close to Old Town -- which is the "Mexican" tourist area if you are interested. The immediate area around the motel is not much. Any remnants of Route 66 are gone.

Room Tip: The all seemed pretty much the same.

This is a welcoming place to stay. Accommodations are very satisfactory. For the money, it is a good choice in a city where, contrary to what others have stated here, does not have easily located motels that aren't dominated by the influence of heavy traffic. The location of this place makes it ideal for exploring Albuquerque and relaxing. The warm indoor year-round swimming pool is a delight.

Stayed there in November 2013. It is a basic motel in a rundown part of Albuquerque. The owners are nice, but the place is old and outdated. The beds are okay, but on a softer side - stay away if you have a weak back. Would I stay there again? Probably not - I am sure there are lots of other similar motels for about the same price in a better part of town.

I'll admit I'm a 5 star hotel kind of gal, and this fit my requirements perfectly. Our room was spacious with king bed, refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was delicious with "make your own waffles." Hotel management was friendly and helpful. Short drive to Old Town ABQ and ABQ Bio Park. Sandia Peak Tramway is about 25 minutes away. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Best value for your money!

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased with everything. Location is right on old U.S. Route 66, close to the Rio Grande, Old Town and downtown. This is an old location that is upgraded and in excellent shape. Excellent breakfast and well stocked too. Friendly service at the front desk from the owner. We extended our stay one night and she made it easy to do. Next time we're back in ABQ this will be our #1 choice!

Cute motel in Albuquerque. Good sized, clean rooms, really friendly and helpful staff, easy drive to old town and Nob Hill.

Breakfast was better than the usual motel and national chain offerings, and included bonus fresh fruit and boiled eggs.

Would return next time in the area for sure, a winner at this price!

This place is great from the moment of arrival. Outside is well finished with artwork adorning the median and around the parking lot. Room was comfortable with new heater/air conditioner as well as microwave and fridge. The breakfast was simple but abundant with a good selection of fruit, cereal, yogurt and waffles. The owner was fantastic. I will be staying again next time I visit.
