This hotel is so worth your time to go, especially if on a budget. The owner takes extra care to make your stay special, from the extra clean rooms to the decorations outside - they provide extra amenities you wouldn't expect to find in a hotel this size, which means they go the extra mile.. When you are there, ask her to tell you her story - this is one family that is living the American Dream - work hard, dream big, and make your dream a reality. Now they are working for themselves and doing a fantastic job. Great food, such as Gordunos is close by, convenient to the airport and to Old Town. Well worth the stay for budget friendly people heading to Albuquerque.

Room Tip: ask for the larger joined rooms upstairs when traveling with a group

The Sandia Peak Inn was a great place for us to stop on our way to Arizona. The room was very comfortable and clean, the decorating was especially nice, and the inn keepers were gracious and helpful. There are places to eat nearby and it’s easy to get back on 40 the next day after you enjoy the nice complimentary breakfast. The rates are very reasonable, too. Highly recommended!

No problems with reservations or check-in. The place looks well maintained. Lots of bright colors. The beds were very comfortable. The best beds we had slept on in over a week of motels. Many restaurants nearby. The location is not on a freeway, but on old route 66. This is perhaps 5 minutes off IH 40. The breakfast was good. The fruit was ripe. The boiled eggs were warm. (which I much prefer to cold) This motel is a very good value.

Renovated recently and very clean, this motel west of Old Town on Central Ave (old Us 66) was a bargain, just under $60, hot breakfast included. Service was very friendly (and, yes, the person we dealt with most often spoke with an accent from Pakistan or India, but we had no problem understanding her). Everything in the room worked; TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, AC. Will stay there again on our next visit to Alb.

All the positive reviews are accurate. The owners are attentive, hard working and friendly. The hotel is clean. It's a good value. Great to stay in an old Rt 66 hotel. In all honesty the place is just an average hotel. It's not in a beautiful spot or convenient to downtown. There is a throwback feel to the fun and history of old 66. There's a short drive to Old Town Albuquerque. I don't think anyone would have a bad experience here, but I think making it one of the best in Albuquerque is a stretch.

As a real plus, I am a woman who was traveling alone and I felt safe there.

Room Tip: Nice to have a room with windows facing east so I could enjoy the sunrise over the mountains.

I had to give my credit card when booking with this place. They speak very poor English and it is hard to understand them. I had to cancel because of the Colorado floods and dangerous driving. They still charged my $50.00 which I felt was very unfair. Although they get a lot of good reviews, I have nothing good to say about the way they handled my business.
