A not-to-be-missed experience for breathtaking views, we highly recommend this tram. Pack an extra jacket or sweater, and wear hiking shoes for walking around at the peak! It's about 20 degrees cooler at the top.

On arrival to the ABQ for the thousandth time, I decided to check out the tramway. Way cool junior as I sometimes say! One must check this attraction out. It's an aerial gondola. It carries you from one point of a mountain to another peak.

The Sandia Peak Tramway is supposedly the longest tram ride in the world. It goes along two different towers which gives you a thrill as the car sways at each tower. Plus you go over a ridge and dip down before you can even see the top. The ride operators do a great job taking about the history and ecology of the surrounding area. At the peak, you can eat at a great restaurant, High Finance, or just take in the incredible views. To the east you can look out over wooded slopes and on a clear day even see Texas. To the west you look over the city of Albuquerque to the desert mesas. This is especially spectacular is you're there for the setting sun. The ride down at night is great as you look over the lights of the city. Highly recommended.

Travelling with my friends, we decided to visit sandia peaks tramway. Initially we thought it was a small ride, however it was a big surprise riding up in the tram all the way to the peak. During the ride, we saw amazing view of Albuquerque, the mountains. The jouerney us about 15 mins each way and every mins is worth full dime. The day we vsited, it wad very windy and lots of snow on mountain. It was very difficult for us to playaround after reaching the summit. We still got out of cabin and a blast throwing snowballs to each other. There's a restaurant at the tip but we didn't try any thing there. It's little scary when step in & out of the tram, but still an amazing experience. We will visit this place againg in future.

Wow what a view! I recommend also taking the ski lift at the peak. It runs all year...during the winter for skiers and the summer for mountain bike riders. We just went for the ride and view and it was spectacular!
