We stayed at the Quality Inn Petersburg for one night as a stopping point on our drive home from Georgia. I chose this motel because of its location and because it takes pets. We were hoping for a satisfactory room and a decent night's sleep and got far more than we expected.

The king bed dominated the room which also had a small round table and two padded chairs, a desk with lamp, and a small kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was quite large with excellent water pressure in the bath. There was plenty of counter space in the bathroom also and terrific lighting above the large mirror. With my face and bald head, a small mirror would have sufficed.

Pet rooms are on the ground floor; while we were there quite a few other pet owners were staying here also. Having our room on the first floor and being able to park just outside our door was wonderful. There is a tremendously large area on which to walk the dogs.

Next to the motel is a restaurant with a very friendly staff which we enjoyed. The restaurant will give you take out if you don't want to leave your dogs. Within walking distance is an Exxon and a mini mart. There are also a handful of sit down restaurants within walking distance. A pizza restaurant and and Chinese restaurant deliver to this motel

The kitchenette comes with no cutlery or dishes. These can be had from the breakfast area downstairs. A continental breakfast comes with the room; it's mostly bread, cereal, fruit, and baked sweets; on the day we stayed there were hot sausage links and scrambled eggs.

Bottom line - We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay here and would stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: It's a long sprawling building. You may want to get a room close to the office so that walk for the first morning's coffee is a short one.

I do alot of traveling and I thought I would try and "outside room" hotel since the pictures looked good online. I was very pleased with my room, the service and the restaurant adjacent to the hotel.
I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends!!

We ditched into Petersburg to await the storm "Saturn" to pass. We chose Quality Inn and booked online prior to arriving. The room was outrageous. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling up to reveal mold. The bathtub was unclean. There was a gap under the door that allowed air and light through. If you wish to have a neglected room, unclean and cold, this is your spot.

This hotel is located going north right before the 295 bypass. A couple of old motels nearby and a few newer more expensive ones. The quality inn took the coupon so the room was a good price. Room was large, clean and comfortable, easy to use wi fi and included a free breakfast, although there were no waffles. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. About two miles away on 301 there is a walmart and other stores and places to eat.

This Quality Inn looks good from the road and it doesn't dissapoint once inside. It's just a good, clean, friendly place for a stop over on the way north or south. The appointments are relatively new and comfortable. The (included) breakfast is typical motel fare and gets you back on the road without a time-consuming detour to a restaurant. Don't be afraid of this destination.
