The good first: Nice woman's restrooms, bar is separated from the dinning room, two exits and entrances ( one of the right next to the bathroom), the cheese enchiladas.
Now the bad: First our waiter had the attitude of hurry up and order so I can go back and sit down, secondly a waitress caring food to a table coughed out in the open, no turning of the head, no covering of the mouth...just coughed all over food. Third, our waiter go his lunch, sat right behind us and began to eat, didn't even bring out our own food, had of all people the bus boy serve us. The table was so close to the restroom as you are eating you get that fresh restroom, piney smell. YUMMM! Its very dark and dated. I don't understand all the good reviews, maybe you just need to be from Brownsville. This place was very poor and depressing.

I have only eaten here a couple of times but both times I enjoyed the food . It is a local place where the locals eat at all the time so it is very busy so plan to eat at odd times for faster entry.

The food was okay nothing remarkable. They pride themselves on treating you like family and that was evident on our waitress offered to hold our 4 month old baby so we can eat. They pride themselves on their cold drinks but we were having alcohol that night so I can't win on that aspect. Not a bad restaurant in any way but we will not be going back as we will be looking for the best meals in town.

I recommend the cheese enchiladas and loaded Nachos. The food was great and the atmosphere friendly. Owner Dan and his staff is very professional. The place does get crowded during peak hours.
