“worst dinner ever”

Took the family out for memorial day at about 8:30 sunday night.Kinda late ,so I could excuse only six other customers in the place.Ordered the fried calamari for appetizer.Came to the table swimming in oil.Only ate three pieces.Entree was the risotto with beef and mushrooms. The risotta was to salty but barely edible. The beef was suppose to be Slices of tenderloin. Not even close.More like slices of flank steak double cooked and way way to salty.Could not even take more then one bite.Sent it back and told them no salt please. It returned with no salt but completely burned on one side. The best thing was the water. My wife and daughter each had entrees that they complained about too.So for a average price of over 20.00 a entree go to applebees, get better food and save some money.

“Excellent venue for rehearsal dinner.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at this restaurant and the food, service, and atmosphere were perfect for this event. The staff went above and beyond to help set up a video to show during our dinner. All preparations were done long-distance by e-mail and communications were superb! Everything that was promised was delivered and all the guests were very happy and the food was great!

“Overpriced and under serviced”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

What can you say about an Italian restaurant that is owned by and staffed by Mexicans that only like Mexican food. Nothing Italian about the place. Waiters do not know the menu and don't really care to know it. Saw food dropped on floor and then served to a customer. Open kitchen means watch what you do but these cooks who cant cook a boiled egg don't care what you see them doing. My advice is go to McDonalds.

“Great Ambiance”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

This restaurant has the best food on town. It's mostly Italian but there are other gourmet cuisine as well. As an appetizer my favorite is the Tuna Shavings or the Tuna Tar Tar. Most dishes are superb but there strength is the wood burned pizza, and the various risottos. Basically any dish is good especially the fish, they are fresh catches from the region. The dessert menu is wonderful. I recommend the cheesecake. It is very fluffy and light. There coffee is superb. For the drinks I recommend the cucumber martini. Be aware Thursday nights its quite the hangout you may want to get a reservation on this night.

“First time”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

I visited Toscafino for the first time with some clients on a Tuesday evening. Tucked away and kind of hard to find, but I had a local driving so easy for me. Not busy, service was good and a nice atmosphere. We had a large group, so we had several different things on the menu. I had a ribeye topped with grilled shrimp and mixed veggies. No complaints for me, cooked well and with a good flavor. Hot rolls were served with a choice of oils to dip, very good. My counterparts had fish, shrimp, pasta and all were very happy with everything. Based on my experience, I would go back.
