This place has maintained the classic diner style from the last century, and I find that extremely appealing. The walls has old graduation pictures from the '60s and the tables and the outfit is all very authentic. The place is not dirty or weared out as other reviewers are stating. It is simply a old fashioned diner! And the music is all good classic rock...

We stayed at the Omni Hotel, and this place is just in front so it is good place to have breakfast before heading for the beach. We ate there every morning because it is the only place around and the convenience of location, but anyhow I would choose this place anytime.

The service is excellent, the food es cheap and well presented. I had no complaints in this regards. Breakfast recommendation: steak and eggs for $9.95 is a bargain. Eggs, hash browns and toast for $4.95 is a deal.

we just happened upon this restaurant on a trip to South Padre not far from our hotel a block off Shoreline. We had seafood platters. All of the items on the menu were outstanding. The fried shrimp were huge and tasty. The portions were above average. Our waiter was a 20 year employee, which says something for this establishment. The prices were well within a middle class budget. This was our bright spot to eat on our recent trip.

Staff terrible. Seating and tables horrible and very old. Decor was ok (its all old news clippings) . The food was outright nasty. Old batter, everything tastes stale. Got a very upset stomach after eating here. Will never do it again.

When I pulled up I was extremely nervous. It is an older diner & isn't the cleanest place. Our waiter was super friendly & accommodating. We had 7 people in our party- one person ordered gumbo, one the amberjack, one swordfish, one shrimp Alfredo, one the ABC sandwhich & I had the shrimp PO Boy with onion rings. There was no food left on the plates. It was delicious.
Sure the place needs updating but don't judge a book by its cover or you might miss a real gem!!
