“Small and free”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

The museum is a backroom of a retail shop. Not very large but did have quite a collection of surfboards and stories about surfers and surfing in Texas. If you are in the area it is worth dropping into.

“Neat shop, helpful staff”

Great t-shirts and music. A bit eclectic and we didn't even spend time really checking out the museum.

“Interesting bit of surfing history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

You don't think of Texas when surfing is mentioned. This 'museum' is more like the owner's personal collection of surfboards (at least 50)and memorabilia, but still quite interesting. It's in the back of a record/souvenir shop, tucked behind a restaurant. No charge and you can see everything in about 15-20 mins; longer if you want to read the histories of the surboards.

“Small but interesting.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2012

This was a pretty neat place to check out. It's free and interesting. I'm not into surfing but the point of going to a new place is to experience new things so we checked it out. It's a small shop/museum but there are some pretty cool boards and pictures to check out.

“Surf's Up!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

I did not even know this museum existed!!! Very interesting - all of the boards displayed are magnificent!!! And the display showing the surf classes for persons with disabilities was very touching. I am always appreciative to see when athletes create opportunities to share their sport with persons with disabilities.
