We just moved here and I have been taking my 3 year old daughter around exploring the area. We took a trip to the Art Museum and I was impressed. It is small, and most of the art is from artists in the Texas area. There was a really neat archealogical display hidden in a hallway that was worth a second look. There are also areas for kids to play, make their own art, and sit and look at books. There is Hester's Cafe which has an amazing view of the Lexington and the bay. Also make sure you check out the water garden at the rear of the museum.
