To start with, to get on the Pier you have to pay $2. Most of the people on the pier were fishing, which is fine but you have to be careful because they are not paying attention. I actually got hooked by one of them because they were not being careful. At the end of the pier we discovered tents pitched up and cots laid out like a camp ground. My opinion don't waste your time unless watching people fish and camp is your thing.

This is a place to fish from any time of the day or night! You don't know what you are going to catch, the gulf gives you anything that's moving in the water! Take your camera for those fun memories!

Awesome family friendly pier. Bring water, hand sanitizer, & for goodness sake clean up after yourself. Pole rentals & frozen bait, bring your own live bait. I picked up garbage & line people left behind, need more signs/ violation enforcement. My son threw back a baby someone left suffocating on the pier twice.

Interesting pier, mostly filled with fishermen and their families. They charge you $2 to enter the pier, but it's good for a 24-hour pass, and the proceeds help keep the pier in good condition. It was a little shady at night, there are mostly families fishing along the sides of the pier, but I'd avoid the end, as this is where the serious shark fishermen cast their lines, and they are not very friendly.

At night it's hard to see much, but the sky is big and filled with stars, and it's fun to see the giant waves roll in.

the Bob Hall Pier is a a great place to take in the local color and catch the rays.. catch a fish.. spend a day... especially now that the National Seashore is temporarily closed due to the moronic inability to make a decision in DC.
