“The Lexington”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

First off, you get a self guided tour of an aircraft carrier. Not just any aircraft carrier, but the Blue Ghost which holds more records then any other Essex class carrier. Then there is a collection of Navy Aircraft on the deck. As one who enjoy both sea and air power, I found the display very rewarding.

“Overnight with the scouts”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

We've visited this before, but stayed overnight with the scouts. Great organization for a field trip. Great exposure to history -- kids loved it.

“Lots of walking”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Walk up to the ship, walk the multiple levels and walk back to the car. There is a lot of interesting history on this ship but you will need your most comfortable shoes on.

“Not for the Disabled, but Worthy of a Visit from the Outside”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

We visited the USS Lexington from the outside, sadly because the vessel is not suited for disabled visitors due to the many stairways on board. Though they do offer a golf cart ride to the entrance, that was about as far aqs we could go. From the outside the vessel is impressive and worthy of a photo or two.

“Eye Opening Experience”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

It was an eye opener to see such a massive ship inside and out. The sleeping quarters were very small. The flight deck was very large. Almost everything was made of steel inside and out. Hard to imagine having to spend months at a time on this incredible ship.
